Use Your Emotes on BetterTTV Before Twitch Affiliate
BetterTTV is a chat extension. It is not a shop, and this site does not host other people’s popular BTTV emotes. Use it as a parking lot for your files until Twitch gives you slots.

1. Get a ready ZIP
Download a free original 6-pack or resize your own art. You need square PNG (and GIF if you want motion).

2. Upload them as BTTV channel emotes
Create a BetterTTV account, link your Twitch channel, and upload into channel emotes — not the shared/popular library. Viewers need the BetterTTV extension installed to see them. Anyone who does not have the extension will only see the text code.

3. When you hit Affiliate, upload the same files to Twitch
Twitch native emotes work for every viewer, no extension required. Follow the Twitch upload guide and reuse the 28 / 56 / 112 files you already have. Follower slots are a good first home for the free 6-pack.
Do not copy popular BTTV emotes
Those images belong to their authors. Twitch can reject copyrighted or meme-IP subscriber emotes. Original mascots on this site are meant to be uploaded as yours.
